ITEMS 50630 & 50640
With these two model boilers great importance was attached to simplicity and robustness. With many model ships little place is present. Also the arrangement of the gas burner is often a problem. These considerations led to this kind of the building of steam boilers.
The most substantial characteristic is the flame tube, which nevertheless measures 45 mm in the diameter. In the flame tube are five transverse superheater pipes of 8 mm, which are spiral arranged. The flame tube steps straight out in the back of the boiler and forms a kind of smoke chamber, to which the gas burner is attached.
Each is furnished with two relief valves, a glass tube water level, gas burner ,and two feet with bands. At the steam dome there is a connection for the manometer, and in half boiler height, one for a water fill.
Both boilers as prefabricated construction set, that means, black burn-painted and all parts thereby installed. With a timber cladding the boiler looks particularly noble.
