The KATHI of the forest railroad Rotgraben Waidling is a former K.u.K. Army field rail locomotive. These fourwheel steam engines were built by Decauville in France and proved during the First World War very well. Later they arrived at the different forest, field and industrial railways with 600 mm of track width. They did long service and proved their reliability right up to closure of many of those rail lines. This outer framework locomotive is equipped the full-scale reproduction of the cab interior. It has a totally enclosed transmission.
The chassis is completely manufactured from brass. The control is likewise from brass milled, trimmed, nickel plated and riveted. The housing is injected moulded from high-quality plastic, provided with free standing lines and fine brass cast parts. A functioning lamp in front and in the back complete the model. Five-pole engine, drive on both axles, up to 18 V direct current.
